J. Richard (Rich) Couillard, B.Sc., P.Geol., is the President and Chief Executive Officer. Rich is a professional geologist who, after graduating from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Geology and Geophysics, spent over 20 years in a variety of professional and management roles in domestic and international activities with Chevron Corporation. In 1994 he was appointed Senior Vice President of Numac Energy Inc. with responsibility for all exploration and production activities. Mr. Couillard was co-founder and CEO of Escavar Energy Inc. from 2003 to 2008. From 2008 to 2014 he was President and CEO of Rock Well Petroleum Inc. and Executive Vice Chairman of Alpha PetroVision Holding AG.

Carrie Yuill, CPA, CA is the Vice President Finance & Chief Financial Officer.  Ms. Yuill brings over 25 years of experience in senior financial leadership roles. A graduate of the University of Calgary, Ms. Yuill holds the Canadian CPA, CA designation and spent the first 10 years of her career working in the assurance practice of KPMG LLP’s Calgary office achieving the role of Senior Manager. Her experience with KPMG LLP included a two year assignment to the firm’s national office in Toronto, On. Since 1997 Ms. Yuill has held senior financial officer positions with numerous public and private oil and gas producers, including Ikkuma Resources Corp. (TSXV), Invicta Energy Corp. (TSXV), Palliser Oil and Gas Corporation (TSXV), Luke Energy (TSX), and Keywest Energy Corp. (TSX).

Paul A. Smolarchuk, B.Sc., P.Eng. CET is the Vice President, Engineering & Operations. Paul is a professional petroleum engineer with more than 25 years of varied experience in the petroleum industry in Western Canada and Canada’s East Coast offshore. He is a graduate of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Chemical Technology and of the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science (Eng.) in Petroleum Engineering. Having worked with a major Canadian oil and gas producer as well with a major international service company, Paul is familiar with all aspects of drilling, production, exploitation and reservoir engineering. His primary expertise is in the area of well stimulation technologies and has been involved with Canadian unconventional natural gas development since 1985.
